Glowbug is the name Chlo Stellarrend gives X3 while raising him during the Spearhead Initiative. He is curious, affectionate, fond of puzzles, and capable of refusal before repeated experimentation, memory erasure, abandonment, and the corrupted Shard reshape his life.
Chlo later uses the name while apologizing for failing to protect him. Glowbug is not a separate artificial person: it identifies X3's earlier self and the relationship Chlo remembers.
