The empire conquers worlds, extracts resources, destroys cultures, and enslaves artificial people. Removing its central control does not restore the dead, rebuild governments, or resolve territorial claims.
¶ Aftermath
Transitional rule, the Stellar United Nations, humanitarian missions, and local reconstruction all compete over authority. Projects on Drea / AR-4 and conflicts involving Flit show that liberation can reproduce imperial behavior when powerful rescuers deny local choice.
Responsibility therefore includes repair, relinquishing control, and allowing affected peoples to define their own future.
