The dual-boot implant partition is a countermeasure built by Chlo Stellarrend and Alistair inside Jack Kaiden's ocular implant.
¶ Function
The partition presents X3 with a flawless simulated copy of Jack's implant environment while the real implant continues operating independently. X3 can therefore believe he controls the active system while Jack and his allies retain a separate functional layer.
The design depends in part on Yvonne's wireless interface and is distinct from simply deleting, copying, or physically replacing Jack's implant.
