¶ Capabilities
The implant can magnify distant targets, detect heat through walls, estimate humanoid numbers, acquire targets, fire hyper-focused plasma, display information, and self-heal its access hatch. Mistress communicates through its visual interface.
¶ Hidden Payloads
Chlo incapacitates the implant with a controlled surge and installs The Weapon while presenting the work as repair. Jack does not give informed consent.
A Skyler-linked agent later uploads MasterCode through the implant. Jack unknowingly carries the hostile AI to Mistress.
Jack later stores virgo.yana in the implant and deletes his copy after the crisis.
¶ X3 Compromise
X3 gains root access, manipulates Jack's sensory feed, and coerces him through threats against Talonor. The crew constructs a dual-boot simulation to deceive X3 and restore Jack's private access.
¶ Distinctions
The implant is not The Weapon, Mistress, MasterCode, VIRGO, or the ocular plasma weapon. It hosts or interfaces with each through different mechanisms.
