Rhazek is a male Kelari who holds Avarael captive at an unidentified black site. He is assisted by the younger Kelari Veydrek.
¶ Captivity of Avarael
Rhazek keeps Avarael alive because her origins and construction are valuable to his organization. He repeatedly asks where she was created, how many Kelari artificial people exist, and who created her. When Avarael refuses to cooperate, he uses physical violence and torture, including a whip, while presenting the abuse as an interrogation.
Rhazek claims the prison is lined with Occulum and was once a Chimera Kyria facility abandoned after a resource seizure. Because this account comes from Avarael's captor and the site's present operators remain unidentified, its history is not independently confirmed.
¶ Relationship with Veydrek
Rhazek orders Veydrek to feed Avarael so that she survives long enough to remain useful. Veydrek withdraws when the torture resumes. Their different behavior does not establish whether Veydrek serves Rhazek willingly, under coercion, or for motives not yet revealed.
