Alteria is an inhabited planet with three moons, luminous green rings, purple-leaved forests, and blue bioluminescent hot springs. Its sun appears blue from the surface.
The Dominatrix lands in a rural area during its voyage. Talonor runs through the forest while struggling with confinement and violence, clashes with a local resident and his canine companion, and returns to the ship wounded. The local Alterian population gathers around the vessel, photographs it, and watches it depart through a shadow rift.
The encounter gives Alteria's residents documented evidence of extraterrestrial visitors, although the canon does not describe the later public consequences of that contact.
