The Dominatrix was Jack Kaiden's original principal vessel and the center of the crew that opposed the Chimera Kyria, entered the temporal anomaly, and delivered The Weapon. It must be distinguished from the later Dominatrix II and Old Jack's altered future vessel.
¶ History
The ship carried Jack, Yvonne, Talonor, Chlo, Pailisto, Kroven, Mistress-linked systems, and other allies through the Book One campaign. Its functions included combat, interstellar travel, cargo operations, medical support, and the systems through which Jack's implant and artificial intelligences interacted.
The Dominatrix entered a nonlinear temporal anomaly and encountered Old Jack aboard the Old Dominatrix. Research and equipment from the future counterpart enabled the younger ship's escape.
During Project Phoenix Ascendant, the ship became part of the delivery environment for The Weapon. The liberation of regulated AIs and the apparent fall of the empire reshaped its mission.
¶ Legacy
The crew later reforms aboard the SSS Dominatrix II. The original ship's history remains separate from Old Jack's future modifications and the second vessel's later campaigns.
