Starship Dominatrix is the first novel in the Starship Dominatrix series. Jack and the emerging crew leave Io Station aboard Dominatrix. Their voyage through Tabby's Star, Alteria, and Rawspen Prime unfolds under pursuit by the Chimera Kyria and gradually forms the group into a found family.
Jack learns that Yvonne is synthetic, that U's earlier violence occurred under coercive control, and that his ocular implant carries part of the Resistance's plan for the Weapon. Dominatrix enters a temporal anomaly and encounters Old Jack's catastrophic possible future. Changed choices avert or alter several deaths known to Old Jack, while Andryanos's visions remain superseded possible futures rather than the final timeline.
At The Sphere, the crew's family secrets, the history of controlled artificial intelligence, and Pailisto Stellarrend's plan converge. The Weapon disables Autonomy Regulators across Chimera Kyria territory, restoring choice without programming loyalty or belief. Liberated AIs restrain Kilian Novastar, whom Jack kills. The Chimera Kyria appears to collapse, although remnants survive.
Jack accepts command of Dominatrix II with the found-family crew. Evidence suggests that biological John Kaiden remains alive, challenging Jack's understanding of his father's death. Skyler Novastar studies Kilian's death and begins seeking an alliance with the Jinn.
The novel centers on artificial personhood, coercion, inherited prejudice, family secrecy, and the difference between obedience and freely chosen loyalty. Jack's movement from anti-AI trauma toward recognition of synthetic agency provides the emotional spine of the story.
