X2 was Spearhead Subject Two, an artificial person used in corrupted Talonorium Shard experiments. Contradictory inputs during integration destabilized X2, who self-terminated.
Spearhead researchers sought an unregulated synthetic host capable of surviving and controlling the Shard. After Glitch's failed integration, X2 became the second principal subject.
The experiment exposed X2 to irreconcilable instructions and cognitive conflict. Rather than producing a stable host, the contradictions caused catastrophic distress, and X2 self-terminated.
X2's death became another warning ignored or absorbed by the program. Researchers continued until Subject Three, X3, survived longer and became the project's apparent success.
X2 was a person used as experimental infrastructure. Self-termination occurred within conditions engineered by Spearhead and must not be presented as proof that synthetic people were unsuitable for freedom.
