Cygnus Jun is a small rabbit-like Htonmen capable of running along walls and phasing through solid barriers. He first appears aboard Dominatrix II as the source of unexplained whispers and thefts.
Cygnus steals crew possessions while attempting to escape in a cloaked craft that lacks a power coupling. When Jack Kaiden corners him with the missing component, Cygnus briefly takes The Weapon through Jack's implant. Jack threatens to make it self-destruct, forcing Cygnus to return it.
Cygnus recognizes Jack's Talonorium glow and calls him “New Jack,” demonstrating knowledge of Jack's altered timeline and attunement to the Element.
Cygnus leads the crew to Tsukinusagi, a Htonmen moon hidden for thousands of years by the Cloak of Silence. He guides them through a QTπ transit circle into Tsukinmiyako and exposes connections among Htonmen history, the Maitdiné, and technologies that reconstruct matter after destructive scanning.
Cygnus later socializes aboard the ship, including card games with Kroven Vaskyr and surviving Voidborn. His opportunistic instincts remain part of his personality even after he becomes connected to the crew.
