Starship Dominatrix: Flesh and Steel is the third novel in the Starship Dominatrix series. Victory over the Chimera Kyria did not end the struggle for freedom. Liberated artificial intelligences build new nations, old allies claim new authority, and Talonorium is transformed into something terrifying. As war spreads across contested worlds, Jack Kaiden and the crew of Dominatrix II must decide whether loyalty can survive injustice.
¶ Plot
New Jack manipulates the choice created by the temporal wedding crisis, and Present-Day Jack is erased. Continuing Jack lives with changed memories, trauma, migraines, and growing instability in his marriage to Talonor.
Pailisto Stellarrend's Libertix project and X3's Domain develop into rival autonomous-AI ideologies. Pailisto occupies Flit, extracts Talonorium, and constructs HexForge. Biological John Kaiden campaigns for President of Earth and wins after Cody Sean Strokes exposes Kjersten Borsach's election fraud.
Talonor discovers evidence that two Jacks existed and confronts the deception surrounding the wedding choice. Jack and Libertix stage a VIRGO activation, prompting X3 to order the Domain's voluntary retreat. Dominatrix II's crew defects from The Sphere.
¶ The Great Healing
Jack, Talonor, Moonshade, and the Nine complete the Great Healing. Connected Talonorium is cleansed, Flit is restored, and Talonorium-based weapons fall silent. Autonomous Libertix forces turn against Pailisto, who accepts ten demands, confesses, releases Kayla Kaiden, and begins reparative conduct.
Yvonne becomes the artificial-intelligence ambassador, while Alistair drafts an AI Rights Accord. Jack deletes virgo.yana from his implant. Future Moonshade completes the Nine Divine prophecy loop in the ancient past. X3 enters the Artifact Research Center, reunites with the Shard isolated in Occulum, and transforms.
¶ Themes
The novel examines autonomy after liberation, accountability among former allies, political power, restorative justice, compromised methods, and identity after temporal replacement. It refuses to treat emancipation as the end of ethical conflict.
