Macow is a female Vulfgarr, a member of Rift Vanguard Six, and a veteran of the Resistance. Her strength is paired with medical and extraction duties, and she is remembered for an affectionate tendency to produce malapropisms.
¶ Rift Vanguard Six
During the Kreylon hostage mission, Macow is assigned to triage and evacuation. She splints an injured hostage, provides medication for another, and helps John Kaiden pull the damaged AI U-84129 from the rubble rather than leave them behind. Her actions help establish the possibility that U can be treated as a person worthy of rescue.
Macow also participates in the earlier Black Echo Keep mission that uncovers the Shard later used in the Spearhead Initiative.
¶ Rawspen Prime
Years later, Macow works undercover at Rawspen Prime. She claims custody of Yvonne Kaiden and Octavia Silva Kaiden to protect them, reveals her Resistance connection to Yvonne's father, and recognizes that Yvonne is not the biological girl she once knew. She knows the counterphrases capable of ending Yvonne's coerced combat state and helps the captives escape.
Macow is shot through the chest and killed while helping free Chlo Stellarrend. Her chair later remains personally associated with her in U's memory.
