Chlo rescues Yvonne from the ship, but refuses to call emergency services because an investigation would expose illegal AI research, Resistance contacts, stolen technology, and data. She takes Yvonne to Tomas Tristar's laboratory in Blue Wave City.
Yvonne suffers irreversible organ and neural damage from hypoxia. While she remains unconscious and dying, Tomas proposes an untested scan into a prototype synthetic lattice. Chlo authorizes the procedure without Yvonne's consent.
The full consciousness scan reaches completion as Yvonne's biological body dies. Tomas reconstructs her appearance and writes the synaptic map into a synthetic body over approximately eleven hours. Chlo and Tomas cremate the biological remains in a modified AI curing tube and conceal the death.

During the voyage and Chimera Kyria pursuit, Yvonne experiences worsening physical and memory anomalies. Chlo's panic during an interrogation causes her to use Code 73 in Jack's presence, exposing the family secret.
Yvonne learns that biological Yvonne died seventeen years earlier and that Chlo and Tomas transferred the completed scan into a synthetic body. She initially concludes that she is unreal and was never meant to exist.

After X3 gains root access to Jack's implant, he threatens Talonor and coerces Jack into using Code 73 against Yvonne. Jack shuts her down, implants a covert transmitter, and sends her into Integration Committee proceedings without her knowledge.
