Boyd is one of two auxiliary AI crew members ordered to remove Moonshade from Dominatrix II Engineering. When Moonshade claims he is acting under the captain's orders, Boyd contacts Jack instead of blindly following Chlo's contradictory command, creating the distraction Moonshade needs to open the wormhole drive.
