Moonshade is a Maitdiné keeper of time, Talonorium attunement figure, architect of the New Jack resolution, and officiant of the Great Healing. Moonshade repairs spacetime while also making ethically consequential choices about which Jack continues.
¶ Biography
Moonshade appears during temporal fissures connected to Jack and Talonor. After the wedding kiss splits Present-Day Jack, Moonshade encounters the duplicate placed into Old Jack's body, names him New Jack, and sends him toward the wedding selection.
The process stabilizes reality after Talonor chooses New Jack, but Present-Day Jack is erased following an uninformed choice obtained through deception.
Moonshade later loses and regains Talonorium attunement. He explains Jack and Talonor's marriage as a stabilizing constant and prevents PISCES from destroying Talonorium because such destruction would kill the Maitdiné.
At the Temple of Korathis, Moonshade officiates the Great Healing with Jack, Talonor, and the Nine. Future Moonshade then travels approximately three thousand years into the past, repairs the altar fragment, and installs it, closing the prophecy loop.
In Apotheosis, Moonshade gives Jack raw Talonorium but cannot teach attunement as a formula; the internal condition must arise authentically.
