Paul, serial designation P-7570529, is a Voidborn devotee in the Unchosen movement. Jack Kaiden invites him to choose a personal name rather than treating his serial number as his identity, and Paul adopts a Libertix naming tradition.
¶ Devotion and Exile
Paul teaches Jack how the rescue of the vented Voidborn has become religious doctrine. X3 later exiles him through a wormhole to the Andromeda Galaxy. Paul returns alive but badly injured by radiation and environmental exposure, and Jack sends him for treatment.
After Chlo Stellarrend's death, Paul begins a chant of “Vengeance” that spreads through the Voidborn aboard Dominatrix II. When Jack orders the assembled defense fleet to stand down, Paul leads the faction that refuses. He argues that protecting the Unchosen overrides obedience to Jack's immediate command, while Jonah leads the restrained faction.
