¶ Background
Jinseokonians had entered human society during the 1980s. The Jinn faction murdered public figures, assumed their identities, and manipulated human political conflict. Jinseokonian whistleblowers eventually revealed their species and exposed the infiltration. The discovery of mass graves substantiated the warning.
¶ Killings
Human authorities and civilians failed to distinguish Jinn conspirators from other Jinseokonians. After the identified infiltrators were killed, fear persisted that shapeshifters remained hidden. The resulting witch hunt expanded to humans accused of being disguised aliens.
¶ Consequences
The catastrophe helped drive Earth's governments to merge in 2042 and contributed directly to the species-supremacist system that became the Chimera Kyria. It also shaped Pailisto Stellarrend's distrust of human institutions and the prejudice he encounters during the Io Station food-court incident.
