Quartz Storage is a data-storage technology used for product identification and purchasing. A Quartz Storage code, or QS code, is described as a three-dimensional counterpart to a QR code suspended inside a quartz crystal.
Payment cards can include scanners that read QS codes and retrieve product information during a transaction. Pailisto supplies such cards to members of the Dominatrix crew during their stop at Io Station.
