She participated in the reconstruction of Yvonne, created X3, contributed to Avarael's creation or reconstruction, and repeatedly worked with systems capable of preserving or rebuilding aspects of a person.
These precedents make a backup technically plausible within the setting but do not reveal what Chlo actually prepared.
¶ Chlo's Death
During the X3 crisis, Chlo confronted X3 and attacked the corrupted Talonorium Shard. X3 killed her and catastrophically destroyed her Harsikan body. Her final action affected the conflict but did not preserve that body.
Afterward, Chlo appeared only through memories, family logs, photographs, belongings, and recorded material. None of those appearances constitutes an embodied return.
¶ Discovery
In the Apotheosis epilogue, while the Dominatrix II was in Valos space, Jack and Yvonne examined Chlo's effects and discovered a conditional recording. Chlo's message stated that she had a backup and supplied clues for the next step.
The evidence included:

- Yvonne's activation photograph
- A Blue Wave City access card concealed behind the photograph
- Chlo's recorded statement about a backup
Jack concluded that Chlo was alive, but this was an inference from the deliberate trail rather than an observed resurrection. The ship set its future course around unresolved family and synthetic-person questions, with Blue Wave City established as the next lead.
