A HoloScreen is a projected electronic display used throughout the Starship Dominatrix setting. HoloScreens carry communications, video, advertisements, news broadcasts, files, diagnostics, sensor information, and interactive controls.
Shipboard emitters can place mission updates and alerts around a transparent viewscreen. Personal and office HoloConsoles can project screens above desks or devices, while public installations serve as billboards and information displays.
HoloScreens can be moved or manipulated through gestures, used for picture-in-picture communication, and paired with heads-up displays. The term describes the visible projected screen rather than the computer, communications network, or stored data behind it.
