Dr. Morgan Ellis is a physician and principal medical officer associated with the Dominatrix II crew. Ellis treats biological and synthetic patients, manages battlefield and neurological emergencies, and pairs formidable confidence with sardonic humor.
¶ Medical Career
Ellis is established as an exceptional doctor before joining the central bridge crew. Ellis serves as the delivery doctor for Alanythia Stellarrend and later treats injuries that would be fatal without advanced medical intervention.
As ship's physician, Ellis is responsible for more than emergency surgery. Ellis monitors medication, psychological strain, cybernetic complications, and the physical consequences of prolonged command stress. Jack's migraines, implant problems, trauma symptoms, and dangerous tendency to resist rest make medical authority an important counterweight to captaincy.
¶ Apotheosis
During Apotheosis, Ellis helps the crew understand the bodily harm created by X3's campaign of coercion. Ellis discovers and removes the cardiac kill switch implanted in Talonor Kaiden, depriving X3 of one of his principal threats against Jack.
When the crew builds a covert partition in Jack's ocular implant, Ellis is assigned to monitor his physical and psychological condition. Ellis also treats wounded Voidborn after the Cargo Bay venting and refuses to let theology, command rank, or political convenience substitute for clinical reality.

Ellis is direct, observant, and frequently funny under pressure. The humor can be abrasive, but it accompanies sustained care rather than indifference. Ellis expects patients and commanding officers alike to follow medical instructions and does not confuse a heroic narrative with a healthy body.
