This recipe is how Talonor makes ramen noodles, for anyone who has ever read the sodium label and thought, “That number looks desperately understaffed.”
Talonor created this recipe after returning from a mission tired, hungry, and unwilling to wait for Cartridge to prepare something that contained an identifiable vegetable. Two packages of ramen seemed reasonable. Four beef-seasoning packets seemed better. Four tablespoons of butter seemed like the natural conclusion of a thought process that had already escaped adult supervision.
The result was salty, buttery, aggressively beef-flavored, and almost certainly capable of preserving a small animal for the winter. Talonor loved it immediately. Jack reportedly took one bite, drank three glasses of water, and asked whether the Chimera Kyria had developed a culinary weapon.
¶ Ingredients
- 2 packages of ramen noodles
- 4 beef-flavor seasoning packets
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick or approximately 57 grams) of butter
- Water for boiling
¶ Seasoning Substitute
If only the two included packets are available:
- Use the 2 included beef-flavor packets
- Add 1 tablespoon of beef bouillon powder
¶ Directions
The recipe appears throughout Starship Dominatrix aboard the Dominatrix.
- Bring enough water to cover both blocks of ramen noodles to a boil.
- Add the noodles and cook according to the package directions.
- Drain the water completely, then transfer the noodles to a bowl.
- Add all four beef-flavor seasoning packets. If two extra packets are unavailable, add the two included packets and one tablespoon of beef bouillon powder instead.
- Place four tablespoons of butter in a small microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave the butter for approximately twenty seconds, or until completely melted.
- Pour the melted butter over the noodles.
- Stir thoroughly until the butter and beef seasoning evenly coat all the noodles.
- Let the noodles cool for ten minutes.
- Enjoy—preferably with water nearby and your dignity already placed somewhere safe.
Health Notice: This recipe is extremely high in sodium, butter, and saturated fat. It is best enjoyed occasionally rather than as an everyday meal. Eat responsibly—the seasoning packets have already abandoned restraint, but you don't have to.
