Varisca is the second moon of Taclysmac in the Draekor system. It has a breathable, broadly Earth-like atmosphere, but its surface gravity is approximately one and a half times Earth's.
Most of Varisca is covered by water. Its land includes green forests, rivers, waterfalls, and islands arranged around a larger landmass created by an ancient asteroid impact. A deep central crater contains the merged remains of the impactor.
¶ Pirate King's outpost
An ancient temple on Varisca serves as the heavily guarded fortress of the Pirate King. Vorath Vaskyr directs the Dominatrix II crew there while using information about biological John Kaiden as leverage. The crew approaches from outside detection range and completes the final journey at sublight speed.
