Vorath Vaskyr is a pilot, thief, and opportunist whose schemes repeatedly intersect with the Dominatrix crew. He is the husband of Kroven Vaskyr; the marriage is author-confirmed canon, while its origin is not explained in the published stories.
¶ Criminal history
Vorath takes part in a failed attempt to steal the Aegis of Zeus from the Artifact Research Center with Kroven, Derek Shane, and Tyrael Galen. Kroven's later accounts associate Vorath with additional betrayals and criminal plans.
Vorath is charming when it serves him, sexually provocative, evasive about ownership, and quick to turn information into leverage. His history with the crew leaves Jack Kaiden deeply suspicious of him.
¶ Search for John Kaiden
Vorath encounters Jack and Kroven at Starbase 7 while working as a shuttle pilot and returning from Zel el-Qamar. He claims to know the location of biological John Kaiden, but refuses to provide it freely. Instead, he pushes the crew toward recovering an object held by the Pirate King on Varisca.
His information is useful, but his bargaining forces Jack to cooperate with a man he believes helped lead Talonor toward death under false pretenses. Vorath's role is therefore neither that of a stable ally nor a simple enemy: he repeatedly creates danger while possessing knowledge the protagonists need.
