The Luminite light trap is an improvised containment weapon assembled aboard Dominatrix II during the shadow-creature incursion.
The crew learns that concentrated Luminite beams cause the energy-feeding creature pain and drive it away. They herd it beneath a ceiling plate connected to a manual rope. Kroven Vaskyr opens the plate, exposing an array of twenty aetherium-powered crystals and flooding the chamber with light.
The trap succeeds because it exploits an observed vulnerability rather than because Luminite was originally designed as a weapon.
