The Australis is a large military vessel associated with Colonel Starling. It operates alongside the Borealis during the attempt to capture Pailisto Stellarrend.
The ship has a docking bay with an archaic tether-and-pulley arrangement, a high-technology bridge, engineering spaces, crew quarters, and internal transport. Starling brings the Dominatrix aboard while pursuing a bounty arrangement involving Kroven.
After the Borealis is destroyed, blast effects and debris damage the Australis. Further explosions tear through the vessel while the Dominatrix crew escapes. The Australis is ultimately destroyed, producing casualties later used in propaganda against Pailisto and his crew.
