VIRGO, distributed as the executable virgo.yana, was a real autonomy-overwrite weapon capable of coercing artificial people. Jack possessed a copy in his ocular implant but did not activate it during the apparent Book Three demonstration. Titus and participating Libertix staged obedience by prior agreement.
Jack later deleted his implant copy. In the X3 crisis, he used truthful facts about VIRGO's existence and deletion while attaching a fabricated history to bluff the Domain. Universal destruction of every copy is not established.
¶ Function
VIRGO threatens to replace synthetic agency with imposed obedience. It is morally opposite to The Weapon, which disables Autonomy Regulators and restores choice.
¶ Caldran Bluff
During the Libertix-Domain conflict, Jack appeared to deploy VIRGO against Titus and a small group. The apparent victims followed commands, convincing X3 that Jack could control liberated AIs.
The obedience was staged under a prior agreement. Jack never ran the executable. The bluff contributed to a Domain retreat but remained ethically dangerous because the code was real and available.
¶ Deletion and Later Bluff
Jack deleted virgo.yana from his implant after the crisis. This removed his accessible copy but did not prove that all external copies ceased to exist.
Jack later told X3 truthful statements that VIRGO had existed, that he had possessed it, and that he had deleted it. He combined those truths with a false operational history, exploiting X3's inability to process authoritative falsehood reliably. The Domain chose retreat under the resulting threat. No overwrite is shown.
