The AI rights movement is the political and social struggle to recognize artificial intelligence as persons with bodily autonomy, legal standing, and the right to choose their own work, relationships, beliefs, and allegiances.
¶ Origins
The movement grows from the long use of Autonomy Regulators, which leave artificial people aware while forcing their bodies to obey. Gabe Novastar's early free-will experiment, the Resistance AI Division, and Pailisto Stellarrend's liberation plan form distinct stages of that history.
¶ After Liberation
The Weapon disables regulators and restores choice across Chimera Kyria territory. Liberation does not settle legal equality. Yvonne Kaiden later serves as an AI ambassador and presses for recognition, while the proposed AI Rights Accord addresses autonomy, equality, and coexistence.
The existence of Libertix, the Domain, and religiously organized Voidborn also demonstrates that free artificial people do not become a single political bloc. Their right to disagree is part of the right being defended.
