Kallistra is a captive with a prior relationship to Derek Shane. Their reunion reveals that she believed she might never see him again after being taken.
After Kallistra is freed, Derek directs Rowan to help her release the other victims. Her rescue is therefore not the endpoint of the operation; she immediately becomes part of extending freedom to the remaining captives.
