The Great Healing was a galaxy-spanning Talonorium restoration performed at the Temple of Korathis by Moonshade, Jack, Talonor, and the Nine. The ritual cleansed all connected Talonorium, ended The Rot within that network, and prevented the living material from answering weapon systems.
The event neutralized HexForge and other Talonorium weapons, enabled Flit's political restoration, and broke Pailisto's strategic control. One corrupted Shard survived because Occulum had severed it from the connected network.
¶ Prophecy and Preparation
An ancient lithograph depicted Jack, Talonor, Moonshade, and nine crew members positioned for the ritual. Alistair deciphered its instructions. The prophecy existed within a closed temporal loop later completed when future Moonshade traveled three thousand years into the past, healed the altar fragment, and installed it.
Pailisto attempted to prevent access through blockade and a disruptor grid. The Dominatrix II crew defected and reached the Temple.
¶ The Ritual
The participants occupied the prescribed pedestals around the altar. Jack and Talonor voluntarily released their attunements. Moonshade and the Nine completed the networked act.
Talonorium responded as a living or person-like substrate capable of memory, choice, bonding, injury, and healing. The ritual did not simply disable machinery; it changed what connected Talonorium would consent to do.
