Andryanos is a Fahilotian empath, political investigator, and member of the Dominatrix found-family crew. He is the father of Alanythia Stellarrend and a former intimate partner and co-parent of Pailisto Stellarrend. They are not married, and Andryanos does not use the Stellarrend surname.
¶ Role in the Series
Andryanos combines emotional perception with political judgment. His ability to sense thoughts, intentions, and emotional states makes him valuable during negotiations and investigations, but the canon also treats access to another mind as an ethical responsibility rather than automatic permission to intrude.
He travels with Jack Kaiden, Yvonne Kaiden, Talonor Kaiden, Kroven Vaskyr, and the wider crew through the conflicts surrounding the Chimera Kyria and The Sphere. He helps expose deception during the political crisis in which Jorin impersonates Pailisto and contributes to clearing Pailisto of crimes committed under that disguise.
¶ Family and Conflict
Andryanos cares deeply for Alanythia while refusing to treat parenthood as ownership. When Pailisto attempts to seize or control their daughter, Andryanos protects Alanythia's agency and challenges Pailisto's coercive conduct. His history with Pailisto therefore includes affection, shared parenthood, political cooperation, and serious disagreement.
His relationship with Alanythia is also shaped by their different forms of foresight and perception. Andryanos helps her navigate grief, responsibility, and the pressure created when other people want certainty from someone who can see possible futures.
¶ Significance
Across the later conflicts, Andryanos opposes occupation, coercion, and the convenient use of good intentions to excuse harm. He can recognize regret in another person while still requiring accountability and repair. That distinction makes him an important moral and political counterweight within the bridge crew.
