Dirk Tristar is a senior political figure within The Sphere and the father of Tomas Tristar. He participates in the hidden strategy surrounding The Weapon, Kayla Kaiden's detention, and the concealment of John Kaiden.
¶ The Weapon
After the Dominatrix reaches the Sphere, Dirk meets Pailisto Stellarrend and Jack Kaiden at his penthouse. He discusses assassination intelligence recovered from Io Station and the destructive potential of Chloinite. Dirk then demands The Weapon, which Pailisto removes from its hiding place in Jack's ocular implant. Dirk takes possession and plans to use Talonorium as a diversion from the device.
¶ Concealment and Political Power
Dirk signs off on Kayla's detention outside ordinary jurisdiction. A recording later implicates him and Pailisto in delaying AI liberation until the Chimera Kyria had accumulated an army whose freedom could be converted into strategic loyalty.
Dirk also discusses supporting Jack's military mission while preventing him from finding biological John, showing that the concealment continues even when John could assist the war effort.
