Changed choices avert or alter several deaths known to Old Jack. Andryanos's possible-future visions are likewise superseded: Jack survives Z-1408's embassy attack while Talonor “dies,” and Jack's survival later enables Pailisto's marble-and-Weapon switcharoo, allowing Pailisto to survive.
